The tweetocracy of Donald Trump

The first two weeks

A day by day account of Trumps twitterings

A couple of weeks into the new administration of Donald Trump and still every day Trump stories lead the international headlines, and Trump’s not very presidential tweets are shared around Twitter.

In just  two weeks Trump has offended at least half of the USA, the Mexicans, the British, the Australians, the Chinese, most of the Middle East, all immigrants and their families, Muslims, tech firms, the media and climate change advocates.  At least.

He’s sided with the anti-abortion rights lobby and pro-lifers, and with the pro-torture lobby.

But I’m sure Putin still likes him.

I’m hooked.

So, I decided to summarise the best of Trump’s Tweets from the first two weeks of his Tweetocracy.   For each day I’ve chosen a couple of  tweets and international news headlines.  All the entries are in reverse date order, newest at the top, oldest at the bottom.  Trump’s tweets are in italics (as if you couldn’t tell!)

Warning – this is scary reading, especially if you’re not American!
